ENDLESS Legend 2 Beginner Guide

Learn how to establish your first city, organize your economy and explore Saiadha without neglecting defense. Follow an opening checklist that connects population management, research and expansion while leaving room for your faction's unique mechanics.

  1. 1

Inspect terrain yields and nearby strategic or luxury resources before committing to your capital's expansion direction.

  2. 2

Assign population to available jobs and address your immediate resource shortage; population bonuses and economic priorities differ between factions.

  3. 3

Scout surrounding territory to locate resources, curiosities and minor-faction villages before choosing where to expand next.

  4. 4

Choose research that supports your planned city development or military needs, then match new construction and recruitment to those unlocks.

  5. 5

Recheck your surroundings after each Tidefall: retreating oceans reveal new land and resources while creating routes toward previously protected borders.

ENDLESS Legend 2 Factions

Compare the six major factions by their distinctive economies, military tools and expansion mechanics. Find a playstyle that suits you, from fortified empires and diplomatic coral societies to science-driven civilizations and desert terraformers.

  • Kin of Sheredyn

Build a fortified empire supported by disciplined armies and orbital systems; their battlefield affinity rewards defensive formations.

  • Aspects

Develop a coral-based civilization with a diplomatic focus, using relationships with other peoples alongside distinctive defensive battlefield support.

  • Last Lords

Lead cursed immortals whose resilience depends on Dust-powered revival rather than treating fallen forces as permanently lost.

  • Necrophage

Expand an aggressive insectoid swarm through nests and burrows, using warfare and consumption as central parts of its identity.

  • Tahuks

Combine advanced science with religious devotion and spend Science on Holy Oculum actions to support your chosen strategy.

  • Sandshapers

Restore ancient ruins to invoke Wishes and terraform land into Sand; their population cannot harvest Food from other terrain types.

ENDLESS Legend 2 City Building and Resources

Understand how population, foundations, districts and improvements work together to sustain your empire. Learn to evaluate placement bonuses and construction costs instead of following one build order for every faction.

  • Population Jobs

Jobs have limited population slots, and their yields interact with faction-specific population bonuses; reassignment changes what your city produces.

  • Foundations

Spend Influence to extend foundations onto adjacent land, exploit tile yields and prepare sites for future districts.

  • District Placement

Specialized districts support different economic functions, while terrain and adjacency bonuses influence where each district is most useful.

  • Improvements

Districts provide improvement slots; improvements can require strategic resources and supply bonuses that benefit the wider city.

  • Construction Costs

Basic and Elite districts use different cost scaling, with Elite costs increasing faster; repeated construction of the same type matters when planning expansion.

ENDLESS Legend 2 Combat Guide

Learn how terrain, unit positioning and faction affinities shape tactical battles. Protect vulnerable troops and break enemy formations by understanding encirclement, movement restrictions and retaliation.

  • Terrain and Cover

Use high ground for offensive advantages and forests for protection; battlefield terrain is drawn from the surrounding world map.

  • Frontline Control

Zone of Control restricts movement around opposing units, while leaving melee engagement can expose a unit to opportunity attacks.

  • Encirclement

Flanking and surrounding enemies provide combat advantages, making coordinated positioning more valuable than isolated attacks.

  • Retaliation

Units can strike back when attacked in melee; account for retaliation when choosing which troops initiate an exchange.

  • Battle Affinities

Kin of Sheredyn formations can generate shielding, while Aspects can use defensive actions to strengthen allied damage.

ENDLESS Legend 2 Heroes and Equipment

Develop heroes for battlefield leadership and empire-wide benefits rather than treating them as ordinary units. Compare classes, equipment and council roles, then explore how Havens and companions add further bonuses.

  • Four Hero Classes

Heroes belong to the Defender, Warrior, Archer or Caster class, which helps determine their combat role and available development options.

  • Skills and Attributes

Spend progression points on skills or attributes; hero development combines class, faction and shared options rather than one universal skill tree.

  • Equipment

Weapons grant attacks and abilities, armor improves protection, accessories add bonuses, and consumables provide powerful single-use abilities.

  • Council Roles

A hero can serve on your council for economic bonuses while still exploring or fighting, so field deployment does not exclude council service.

  • Havens and Companions

Experienced heroes can establish Havens that function as districts and generate resources based on hero level; companions add bonuses and narrative events.

ENDLESS Legend 2 Victory Conditions

Understand how Awakening choices and territorial objectives shape your route to victory. Learn which progress depends on assets you currently control so that conquest or lost territory does not unexpectedly derail your plan.

  • Awakening Paths

Choose whether to Worship, Impress or Master the Lost, then inspect the Awakening Victory screen for the objectives associated with your selected path.

  • Faction Awakening Quests

Major factions have distinct Awakening quests, so follow your faction's objectives rather than assuming every campaign uses the same quest sequence.

  • Pacified Village Control

The village objective counts pacified villages you currently control, not a lifetime total of pacifications; losing their territories can reduce your progress.

  • Territory Objectives

Total claimed territory is tracked separately from pacified-village control, making village-rich territories strategically different from empty land.

  • Conquest and Score

Conquest and Score provide alternatives to narrative Awakening victories; check the victory conditions enabled for your campaign before committing to a route.

ENDLESS Legend 2 Tidefalls and Doomwraiths

Prepare for changing seasons, retreating oceans and the dangers hidden beneath Saiadha's seas. Learn when to explore newly revealed territory and how to respond when fortresses or corruption obstruct expansion.

  1. 1

During Monsoon, watch for special curiosities that provide Dust, healing or restored movement, while accounting for more active neutral armies.

  2. 2

After the Monsoon, scout land exposed by the Tidefall for new resources and routes; former coastlines can become accessible borders.

  3. 3

Clear hostile fortresses before attempting to claim territories they block, and assess nearby threats before sending settlers into exposed areas.

  4. 4

Respond to Doomwraith corruption before it undermines cities or destroys minor-faction villages; defeating the Doomwraith removes its corruption and permits rebuilding.

ENDLESS Legend 2 Minor Factions and Diplomacy

Turn encounters with minor factions into access to units, population and economic bonuses. Compare peaceful and military approaches while accounting for faction restrictions and the diplomatic preferences of neighboring empires.

  • Bribery

Where diplomacy is available, spend Dust to pacify a village immediately and receive one of its units.

  • Pacification Quests

Completing a village's pacification quest can pacify the villages throughout its territory, offering an alternative to individual bribes.

  • Conquest and Rebuilding

Destroying a hostile village stops its roaming-army production, but the village must be rebuilt before it can provide integration benefits.

  • Protectorates

With a pacified village inside your borders, spend Influence and an available protectorate slot to assimilate its faction, unlock unit recruitment and gain bonuses.

  • Diplomatic Preferences

Aspects favor cooperation such as open borders and shared maps, while Last Lords are more isolationist and dislike several information-sharing treaties.
